Lost in dreams and thoughts of non-reality

I did a lot of thinking today. Mainly in the morning; after I woke up I was still stuck in between the world of dreams and reality...my memories of recent dreaming still lingering even after I woke up. Basically, I was convinced that some unpleasant things that happened to me in my dreams were memories from reality, and I had to re-convince myself that it was all in my head. It happens all the time.

Like when you drift off and dream something really good happened and you wake up in the middle of it. And for one moment, you're happy. And then that moment disappears, and you realise it never even happened...and then you get depressed and you think about it for the rest of the day.

Something like that happened to me today. I have been lost in thought for nearly the whole day over something that happened in the dreamworld. There's one person that I just can't stop thinking or wondering about. Unfortunately, I already came to a conclusion.

It's pretty simple. I'm still living in the past. For some strange reason, I'm still unable to let go of a treasured collection of memories, and I can't move on. I need closure. GIMME CLOSURE. There's a really fine line between reality, dreams, thoughts and memories, and I'm playing "stuck in the mud" in all four...not that I have four legs...

Dear (person who will not be named for humiliation's sake),
One day, I hope I fate will allow us to cross paths so I can actually say the things I wrote down in solitude to your face (except...maybe not the part where I punch you in the face...). Maybe it will be long enough for me to actually get some guts by then...
Until then, thanks a lot for not knowing I exist, jerk.
And hopefully you might be able to give me some closure...you're still a jerk though.

I have a crush on TIM TAM CRUSHES :)

Picture #1 and #3 edited on picnik.com

Had a lovely day with Deb yesterday! Went thrifting in Vinnies and scored a cute little $1 Porcupine for my desk and a pretty $2 photo frame. Had an encounter with Stargirl and a really cute vintage dress that I didn't get. Then we chilled for ages in glorious Gloria Jeans with our Tim Tam Crushes - with a half shot of coffee in each! It was sooooo yummy and delish and refreshing and perfect...heaven in a plastic cup >.< The person at the counter was so friendly we got the shot for free!! thumbs up for freebies :) "youtube language"

It's a really nice day today. Took some experimenting photos in the yard with Lucy, my beautiful puppy. Looking forward to next week! (except its closer to school...and I have to start taking violin lessons again. Joy of my life.)

Happy Saturdays! Carrie

The art of raiding your mother's wardrobe for clothes

These pictures are from national geographic. I found them not only intriguing, and obviously amazing and awe-inspiring but also motivational, making me want to take pictures at least an itty bitty bit as cool as they are. I particularly like one with the deer. It's so simple and subtle, and it makes me wonder, what exactly is the deer looking at? Does what its looking at look and seem the same to the deer as it does to us? Its like a METAPHOR (ooh shnap, pro english language) for the idea that we all see things differently, yet we will never know what its like to see things from another person's eyeballs...yeah, bad analogy =.= maybe this photograph is just saying that the deer was cold and it wanted to come inside and hide from the cold-ness.

Happy Tuesday! May you have a joyous and festive evening. :)

P is for Procrastinate.

Procrastinating: noun, to convenient ignore or avoid doing work, or an undesirable or boring activity.

For example, taking random pictures instead of practising piano.
For example, playing spider solitaire instead of practising piano.
For example, blogging about absolutely nothing important instead of practising piano.

Starring:
-Fluffy, the antique desk chair

You completely humiliated/scared/angered/depressed me for quite a while afterwards which was quite unnecessary. Be nice. I'm a customer, not a criminal. And I'm also a kid. So lay off. Screw you.

On another note, bought a pretty floral dress from a MUCH nicer stall

Bought a much-needed desk chair, antique wood
I named it "Fluffy". I don't know why.

Anyways. Had a brilliant day, plus it didn't even rain! I learnt that people who are complete strangers can impact you greatly just by speaking a few words. Nice people make you feel happy, but un-nice people can really scar you for a while. Like the lady at the crossing near our school who yelled at me and a few friends one afternoon for not walking to the side enough, supposedly making us "incredibly rude" == pssht. and you're not rude? what a hypocretin. (ie a hypocrite who is also a cretin ^-^)

Sunsets, Streetsigns and Salad.

Just been on a beach holiday that ended unexpectedly when we got washed out this morning and left early. In a nutshell, I spent my time eating, swimming, walking my dog, taking photos, accidentally finishing the roll of film for my '30s vintage camera :( - it only had ten exposures! *sighh* ripoff... and attempting to surf - stress the word attempting.

Am also aspiring to take and launch a youtube video soon! Biggest 'tube inspirations: nigahiga, kevjumba and the legendary debbsweb. *gasp*

Cobblestones and Crepes.

30th December, 2010

  • Bought two notebooks and a calender at Typo
  • Watched my pillows...sunbaking.
  • Went to the park I used to call "Panda bear park" and haven't been for ages. It had changed. *photograph edited on picnik*
  • Ate a yummy scallop salad and uber tasty dessert.
31st December 2010 - New Years Eve...but you knew that already.

  • Took my dog for a massive walk across the river and to the next suburb and back...
  • ...took a photo of a broken fence on the vintage Kodak Flash Bantam camera...
  • ...passed the infamous B.C.'s former residence...
  • ...and my mum didn't even know i was gone =.=
  • Went to a neighbour's house for dinner before the fireworks and took pictures. Favourite of two wooden pegs on their slightly broken clothes line.
  • I got bored and went for a walk around the block with my dog...
  • ...stopped off at the park and rode down the slide...with my dog.
  • And on the way back, watched as a smiley face was sketched into the fading twilight sky.
  • Watched about 5 episodes of IT crowd between the 9 and 12 pm fireworks
  • Witnessed 2011 go off with a bang...literally.
  • ...and got bitten alive by mosquitos in the process.
  • Took ages to go to sleep due to extremely loud neighbour behind us having a party.
1st January 2011
  • Asked mum how she slept (considering the neighbours were partying). She told me they shut up after my dad called the police. O_O
  • Got my new 2011 height marked on my grandpa's special family growth chart which shows almost everyone in our family's height each year
  • ...and found out I only grew 1 cm since the end of 2009.
  • ...and found out my brother grew 5 cm since the end of 2009.
  • Had an epic 10 second arm wrestle with my mum and won.
  • Watched Mulan. *u*
2nd January 2011
  • Had family friends over. Good = yummy food
  • Bad = forced to play violin for them =.=
  • Reread The Lovely Bones
  • Finally got the internet working on my laptop again YAY
  • ...as a result discovered kevjumba and watched videos for...a long time.
3rd January ...today
  • Went to the rocks markets and was disappointed by the lack of good stuffs.
  • Swam at the local pool, 50 laps.
  • ...and possibly dislocated knee for a moment in the 27th lap.
  • Had dinner at another neighbour's house, was surprised that I actually had quite a good time.
  • ...because I went hyper with the kiddy toy sets.
  • Discovered one of my friends is a YOUTUBE STAR!!! Congratulations to that friend!!
  • ...and was inspired to create a Youtube account.
